Youth and Women Invited for 3rd Annual MN Mentor Pheasant Hunt

Aug-31-2010 - Minnesota is expanding opportunities for first-time and novice pheasant hunters. The 3rd Annual Minnesota Department of Natural Resources & Pheasants Forever Mentor Pheasant Hunt this October will again be open to youth ages 12-17, and for the first time will include a women's mentored pheasant hunt. Closing in on CRP General Signup Deadline

Aug-23-2010 - Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever remind farmers, ranchers and landowners that the deadline for the current Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) general signup is Friday, August 27th. This CRP general signup is the first since 2006 and with a future CRP general signup yet-to-be announced, represents the single best wildlife habitat improvement tool available. ...more

MN's 8th Annual Build a Wildlife Area Campaign Kicks Off this Week

Aug-03-2010 - Pheasants Forever and partners kick off Minnesota's 8th annual Build a Wildlife Area campaign this week. Events include a dedication ceremony for a new public hunting area on Tuesday and a fundraising phone-a-thon on KFAN radio Thursday night. In eight years, the Minnesota Build a Wildlife Area campaigns have led in the creation of 10 different acquisitions covering a total of 3,165 acres that have been opened to public hunting and outdoor recreation as federal Waterfowl Production Areas or state Wildlife Management Areas. ...more
