Rudy The Rooster's Youth VillageTrade in the Game Boys and gadgets for the Great Outdoors. That's the idea behind Pheasants Forever's No Child Left Indoors® initiative and Rudy's Youth Village at National Pheasant Fest (seriously, don't let Rudy catch you talking on your cell phone). Rudy's Youth Village features archery and air rifle ranges, a casting booth and the immensely popular Laser Shot Booth! And perhaps the most popular feature is the mock pheasant hunt, which provides youngsters with an introduction to the fun of pheasant hunting in a simulated setting. Rudy has some select company in the Youth Village. Members of Pheasants Forever's National Youth Leadership Council - spokespersons for their age group on hunting and conservation issues – help Rudy run many of the activities and make sure activities are catered to today's youth. |

Ask The Vet at National Pheasant FestNational Pheasant Fest has just what the vet ordered. You know Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health from the "Ask The Vet" section in the Pheasants Forever Journal of Upland Conservation. Now, "Ask The Vet" personally! Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health will be providing veterinarian guidance at the Bird Dog Bonanza at National Pheasant Fest. Anyone in attendance will have an opportunity to gain insightful and instructive health-related information about their favorite hunting dogs! In fact, one of the field's premiere specialists, Intervet's Dr. Donald Bramlage, D.V.M., will bring with him more than 25 years of experience to answer questions as well as giving presentations on topics such as kennel cough, managing parasites and how to raise a litter. |
